How Things Work in Menorca

KITCHEN Stove : The cooking stove is powered by Propane gas found under the counter. If it's empty push up the black lip while pushing down with your thumbs. This will release it and you can set the head aside           HOT WATER Hot water heater is electric and controlled by a light-switch in the laundry room, outside the back patio, above the washing machine. Looks a bit like this one: Will take a few seconds for the hot water to come out of the shower. If it takes more than 30 seconds, try toggling the wall switch to make sure it's in the "ON" position NEED TO ORDER MORE COOKING GAS or WATER?? Before ordering please check with our best neighbors Joan or Margarida. Table in front room Futon in front room that folds down for extra sleeping space (the fishing net is an antique net from the Barcelona Santa Catarina market) Modest but comfortable front room, with new television that includes local Spanish channels and ability to view certain programs in "original version" (e.g., in english). All rooms have ceiling fans to aid the cross-breeze at night.

Looking around the front room ... The "twin" bedroom ... where our 3 year old son slept (note the daybed is turned around so that the frame acted like a guardrail!) ... This bed actually has a trundle underneath that pops up to create a nice-size, queen bed for two View from the "double" bedroom into the front room Looking from the porch at the back of the unit through the three bedrooms towards the front ... bathroom is directly on the right at the back of the unit

Looking at the beach from our front porch ... a lovely, brief stroll to the sand or to the waterfront promenade area where we walk or fish at sunset
